# Clear Formatting

**Clear Formatting** is a useful tool to remove all formatting applied to certain words or paragraph specially when you are pasting from other sources, word processor or markdowns.

## How to clear block formatting?

There are two ways to remove formatting which are provided by EditorsKit plugin.

### Block Toolbar Format

1. Select the text or word you want to remove formats from.
2. Click the caret icon on the block toolbar to open more rich text controls.
3. Click **Clear Formatting**. That's it!

### Paragraph Block Settings

1. Make sure you are on the paragraph block.
2. Click the dots icon on the block toolbar to open more options.
3. Click **Clear Block Formatting**. That's it!
